No Personal Data Collection

RecapMate does not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information. We do not track your behavior, identity, or usage patterns.

Functionality

The extension only processes the YouTube video ID that you explicitly choose. This ID is sent to an AI service (Google Gemini) to generate a summary. No other information—such as your account data, viewing history, or location—is sent, collected, or stored.

AI Integration

We use Google Gemini to generate video summaries. The only data sent to the AI model is the video ID. The request is stateless and anonymous—no user identifiers or metadata are included.

No Third-Party Trackers

RecapMate does not include any third-party analytics, tracking libraries, or cookies. Your usage remains entirely private.

Security

Although we don’t handle personal data, we take extension security seriously. We follow best practices in Chrome Extension development and API usage.
